A Coeur d'Alene Thanksgiving!

This Thanksgiving, we got to go up to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho! I always love going home and seeing all my family, especially during the holidays. Nothing is better than family, food, and laughter, and that is pretty much what Thanksgiving is at my house. 6 out of the 7 of my siblings were there with their families. I love when everyone gets together. It is my favorite thing in the world.

I made a, "I'm Thankful For," board for people to write what they are thankful for when they came in. Kiley and Kenzie, my two beautiful nieces, were the first ones to sign it. Good thing Kenzie is right handed so she could still write something with her broken arm.
Jeremy and Molly and the kids came up to CDA from Arizona. Jeremy made the best turkey ever! Everyone loved it and was saying it was the best turkey they have ever had. Even Missy told Mom, "Mom! What did you do to this turkey this year!? It is so good. I think it is the best one yet!" Mom said, "I didn't make it. Jeremy did......" :)

I was in charge of making the pumpkin cheesecake. It turned out yummy thanks to Food Network. I made homemade ginger snap cookies and crumbled them up for the crust. The filling had mascarpone and ricotta cheese in it. Yum!

Mindy made her famous rolls and sweet potato casserole. Missy made the mashed potatoes and homemade orange cranberry sauce. Jen made a pomegranate salad and peanut streusel pie, my favorite. Anna made the green bean casserole. And of course, mom made the stuffing and gravy as well as loads of other kinds of pies. Double yum.

Nate was a hit with his Ipad games. The kids loved him, and his Hungry Hippos game. Kiley made bracelets for all the girls in the family made out of rubber bands. She made sure they were all made with each girl's favorite color. Of course mine had pink in it. She also had a sign up sheet for foot massages for $5/ 20 min. Later on in the night she lowered her price to $3. :) Spencer had fun pushing Swayzie around in his wheelchair and she loved it too.

Speaking of Swayzie......she is the cutest. I can't even look at this picture without even smiling! I completely fell in love with her that week. I miss her so much!
The amazing meal! I love Thanksgiving foods.
My three sisters and my mom, my favorite women in my life. :)
We went bowling at Triple Play with the whole gang after the big meal.
My cute parents.

Mom, Anna, Nate and I went Black Friday shopping. We started late Thursday night, because Target opened at 9. We kept on going until about 1 and then we came home and slept. We planned on waking up at 7am......but we were back at it again at 10am instead. Sleep got the better of us. All I can say is thank goodness for Starbucks being open all Black Friday! That salted carmel hot chocolate kept me warm and content when I was freezing cold that night.

Friday night, my family met down at Dockside at the CDA resort for dinner. We went early before the parade and set our stuff out on Sherman and then went and ate. We came back and our stuff was safe there waiting for us, just a little wet because it had barely started to sprinkle. We watched the parade with Missy and Bry's family. Missy brought glow sticks to put around everyone's necks and Trader Joe's peppermint Jo Jo's. Even though the parade was kind of on the dumb side, I still had fun being with the family in good old Coeur d'Alene, especially with cute Kenzie on my lap snuggling with me, keeping me warm.

And my 2nd hot cocoa from Starbucks for the day.....this time a white chocolate with eggnog. :)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
