Masala Zone with One of my Favorite People

It was a good day when my friend from BYU, Cindy,
texted me one day and said that she was coming into London for the night and wanted to hang out.
Cindy was the first person that I met at BYU my freshmen year at the DT dorms.
I loved her then and still continue to love her and feel so lucky to spend time with her in London!
Who would have ever thought that we would be hanging out over here?

There has been this restaurant that has kind of fascinated me in Covent Gardens. This fascination didn't necessarily come from the food or the location....but the decorations that were inside. This restaurant has all sorts of different dolls hanging from the ceiling dressed in beautiful costumes. Yes, dolls. Every time I walk by, I think to myself, I've got to eat there sometime. It is just so cool looking. So I decided to take Cindy there and we could check it out together. She was equally excited about the dolls as I was.

Here are some pictures from the evening.....

Aren't they all so cool looking? What a fun way to decorate an Indian restaurant!

The food was pretty good too. Forgot to take pictures of it. Dang. We ordered some curry dishes, rice, naan bread, and of course some mango lassi. So yum. I love the flavors of Indian food. They use the best spice combinations.

I was sad to see Cindy go. And sad when my plate was empty.....
But happy that I got to share this night with such a fun, amazing friend!
I love you Cindy!

  1. How fun! I love reading of all your foreign adventures! And how fun that your family will be there soon! Hey, I've been thinking a lot about Indian cuisine lately, and I was wondering if you would be willing to send me the names of some of your favorite dishes. I don't even know where to begin with it! You don't have to include recipes or anything, just names of dishes! (Unless you have a really good recipe you want to share!)
