Cathar Hideout

This is an old demolished building that is from the 10th century. It was built by the Cathars, which were a common religious group in that day. This was their hideout and defense station that they went to when other religious groups were attacking them. It is super high up on this huge rock and you have to hike for a while to get up to it. It was a long journey and very muddy. Once we got up there, we were very glad that we decided to go! It is completely demolished inside but it standing still enough that you can make out what it used to look like. But there is no roof left. The views were amazing and that was probably the best part. Nate had a great time climbing around the building and exploring through the rocky cliffs. It was a really fascinating place with so much history.
