The Banana Tree

So we are loving Urbanspoon lately.

This is the 3rd time that it has really served us well.

We searched for Thai restaurants around the area and we found one in Battersea called,

"The Banana Tree."

It had 700 likes and 76% of the voters loved it.

Now it has 704 likes. :)

Our friends, Steven and Heather, came with us.

We had a great time.

Here is what we ordered:

Appetizer: Spicy prawn rice cake chips with a yummy peanut dipping sauce. Everyone loved them except for me. A little too much shrimp flavor for my liking.

Sorry this one is blurry....oh well.

This was Nate's dish.

He ordered the char grilled blackened chili pork with a bed of Thai flavored rice.
He gave it a A++!

Steven's dish.

He ordered something similar to Nate but with noodles instead of rice.

Heather and I ordered the same thing.

Similar taste buds I guess.

But neither of us had order regret because it was that good.

Chicken Pad Thai.

Traditional but amazing.

Yes, we had a sweet tooth towards the end of the evening.

Nate and I ordered a banana fritter with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
Steven and Heather ordered a black rice pudding with coconut milk and coconut ice cream.

I liked theirs better than ours....

All in all, we give "The Banana Tree" a high recommendation.....

for the food at least.....

the service was a different story, but never mind about that. :)
