The Royal Mews

The Royal Mews is part of Buckingham Palace. It is the place where the queen keeps all of her horses, coaches and cars. We got to see the horses and see where they are kept. We saw all of the coaches that have been used to transport the royal family for all of their important events, including the one that Catherine Middleton rode to her wedding at the Westminster Abbey. We also saw the riding school where all the royal children and grandchildren learn to ride the horses. This is also where the new horses are broken and trained.

The queen names all of her horses. She is only pulled by the gray ones and the other people in the royal family are pulled by the brown ones. The black horses are used by the guards and the police.
